In 2024 Richard founded Blue Path Security LLC, to offer clients customized physical security advice and operational support.

Prior to Blue Path Security, Richard held physical security director roles at three high growth US tech companies (Cloudflare, Palo Alto Networks and Uber), served ten years in Law Enforcement (UK, Detective), and four years within management consulting.

During his time as a physical security director, Richard owned physical security system selection, design, and installation project management on over 15 projects of various sizes, and developed bespoke security system solutions where none were available in the market.
